Important differences

  • Eligibility: NMIMS requires at least 50% in Class 12 (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD). Manipal University Jaipur publishes no minimum percentage and also accepts a recognised 10+3 diploma.
  • Specialisations: Manipal names 7 tracks, including Human Resource Management, Digital Marketing, Retail & E-Commerce and Entrepreneurship. NMIMS names 3 — Marketing, Finance and Business Analytics.
  • Fee and payment: NMIMS's published total starts lower for the Marketing or Finance track. Manipal charges a flat fee, but publishes a 10% concession for a single up-front payment and a confirmed no-cost EMI; NMIMS points students to an education loan.
  • Credits: Manipal publishes a 126-credit structure; NMIMS's credit count for the BBA is still being verified.
  • Assessment: Manipal states the split — a computer-based, online-proctored term-end exam worth 70% and continuous assessment worth 30%, with at least 40% needed in each. NMIMS calls its approach "holistic evaluation" without publishing a split.
  • Both run three years across six semesters and both degrees are UGC-entitled and NAAC A+.

Who may prefer each option

You may prefer NMIMS if:

  • You want a focused choice between Marketing, Finance and Business Analytics.
  • The lower published fee on the Marketing or Finance track fits your budget.
  • You are comfortable arranging an education loan rather than a no-cost EMI.
NMIMS Centre for Distance and Online Education

You may prefer Manipal if:

  • You want a wider specialisation choice — HR, Digital Marketing, Retail & E-Commerce or Entrepreneurship & Family Business.
  • Your Class 12 aggregate is below 50%, or you hold a 10+3 diploma rather than 10+2.
  • A confirmed no-cost EMI and an up-front-payment discount matter, and you want the exam/assessment split stated clearly up front.

Common questions

  • Is NMIMS or Manipal better for an online BBA?

SkillBridge does not rank them. NMIMS has a stricter Class 12 requirement and a narrower set of tracks; Manipal University Jaipur is open to any Class 12 pass or a 10+3 diploma, offers more specialisations and a confirmed no-cost EMI. The right choice depends on your eligibility, the specialisation you want and how you want to pay. Use Help Me Choose or talk to a counsellor.

  • Which has more specialisations, NMIMS or Manipal?

Manipal University Jaipur names 7 elective tracks for its online BBA; NMIMS names 3 (Marketing, Finance and Business Analytics). More tracks is not automatically better — what matters is whether the specific area you want is offered.

  • Do both offer a no-cost EMI on the online BBA?

Manipal University Jaipur advertises a no-cost EMI from about ₹3,875 a month, plus a 10% discount for paying in full up front. NMIMS's BBA fee note refers to education-loan finance rather than a confirmed no-cost EMI. Confirm the current terms with a counsellor.
