Online BBA eligibility (2026)

Every online BBA on SkillBridge needs a completed Class 12 (10+2), or an equivalent qualification. Only one of the four — NMIMS — publishes a Class 12 percentage cut-off. This guide compares the published criteria university by university, and is clear about where a published rule ends and SkillBridge guidance begins.

Eligibility comparison

The common requirement is a Class 12 (10+2) pass from a recognised national or state board, in any stream — Commerce, Science or Arts all qualify. Manipal University Jaipur also accepts a recognised three-year diploma taken after Class 10 (a 10+3 diploma). A working knowledge of English is expected because the programmes are taught and assessed in English.

UniversityMinimum qualification

NMIMS Online BBAHSC (10+2) in any discipline from a recognised board with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).

University by university

Percentage requirements

NMIMS publishes a minimum of 50% in Class 12 (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates). DPU-COL, Manipal University Jaipur and Amity do not publish a minimum percentage for their online BBA — a Class 12 pass meets their stated criteria. If your Class 12 aggregate is between 45% and 49%, whether NMIMS admits you depends on your reserved-category status.

If your Class 12 result is awaited

If you are appearing for Class 12 this year or your result is awaited, universities generally admit you provisionally and confirm once you submit your marksheet. SkillBridge marks the fit as provisional in that case rather than turning you away — a counsellor can explain the university's provisional-admission process.

How to think about this

The table above shows each university's own published eligibility. Anything beyond that — for example whether a specific board's certificate or an overseas qualification counts as "equivalent", or whether a diploma is accepted in place of Class 12 at a university that lists only 10+2 — is not a published rule. Treat those as questions for a counsellor, not as a yes or no from SkillBridge.

Common questions

  • Can I do an online BBA without maths in Class 12?

Yes. None of the four online BBAs on SkillBridge requires a specific Class 12 subject combination — any stream (Commerce, Science or Arts) is accepted. Some specialisations lean on quantitative skills (Business Analytics, for example), but there is no maths prerequisite at the eligibility stage.

  • Is there an entrance exam for an online BBA?

No. None of the four universities runs an entrance test for its online BBA. Admission is based on your Class 12 qualification and is processed entirely online.

  • I have a diploma but not Class 12 — am I eligible?

Manipal University Jaipur explicitly accepts a recognised 10+3 diploma in place of 10+2. DPU-COL's criteria accept "an equivalent exam", which a counsellor can check against your diploma. NMIMS and Amity list a 10+2 pass; whether a diploma is treated as equivalent there is a question for a counsellor, not a published rule.

  • Does an online BBA have an age limit?

None of the four universities publishes an upper age limit for its online BBA. Working professionals and mature students are a core audience for these programmes.
